Fairy Tales
And the meek shall inherit the earth...Shall I, or Shall I Not Gank? I asked my fellow guild members. The advice was pretty unanimous... Anat, Go Forth, Get Bloody And Gank!
But, feeling sorry for the lvl 37 horde out there at the Crystal Vein Mine in Stranglethorn - who seemed to be of gentle inclination - I turned instead and faced the little green men with ultimate purpose to, upon the little green one's death, loot myself some crystals.
Only to find myself violently attacked by the lvl 37 and his buddy and whisked to the graveyard, to the utter amusement of my guild members who find themselves proven right.
"Pre-emptive strike!" "Don't wait for buddies to show up!" "Who is foolish enough to be a sitting duck?"
Don't wait for bad things to happen.
Reading a wonderful rendition of classic fairy tales with Saskia. Cinderella, sleeping in the ashes to stay warm...
Caelan and Saskia watched the movie Spirit. A stampede happens, and Caelan reassures Saskia "they will be fine". "I know", says Saskia "They always are in movies".
Fairy Tales, Movies... we need the meek to inherit the earth, the good to overcome and the bad to be sent with bown heads to the bowels of hell.
But is that how life works?
Plato asked whether there is an incentive to being Good. He said - assume a bad guy, totally profiting from his crimes, who will never be found out. Who would prefer to be a good guy?
Even Plato had to come up with a pretty goofy argument to say being Good pays.
History is written by the victors. I may loot the crystals, but there is no crystal ball for me. Off to check my lottery ticket :-)
Update.... OK this beats everything - a lvl 38 dwarf Paladin by the name of Adrand is fighting a STV tiger and I help him by dispatching some MF and Wrath spells to the tiger... Adrand gratefully acknowledges.... "Druods stink".
There are lessons to be learned everywhere, if only we know how to look for them. ROFL

You don't have to look for them, they are smacking you upside the head They're not life lessons (thank goodness), but they're certainly WoW lessons... are you learning? ;)
