CBC quirks and quarks program mentioned how our bodies consist of more bacterial cells than our own cells, and questions who really makes the decisions. Scientists investigating decision making say they see the neurological activity for the action before they see the neuro-pattern for the decision.

The only thing that research like that makes clear is that we think not only with our brains, but with our entire body. And if bacterial parasites help us to pull back our hand when we touch something burning hot, well, good for them! A question that does come up however: If you also think with, say, your arm, does losing it change your thinking?
